Father and son team Johnathan and Landon Harris joined the Friday Night contest late in the season and in their seventh try they came out on top with a winning weight of 11.085 lbs. They attribute their success to the bass transitioning to the fall bite where they have always performed well. Top Water lures are now paying off for several of the contestants as well as other anglers at Lake Purdy. The Wolfe Pack, Mike and Chris Wolfe, had to settle for second place on August 19th, however they have locked up the 2022 season points championship. Congratulations!!! Third went to Chris Leathers and Mike Forrester who also brought in the Big Bass of the night, 3.535 lbs. One more regular Friday Night Contest open to all comers then the invitational only Classic will wrap up the season on September 2nd.
